How can I access the Practice Box Lobby ?
You need to go to the Practice Box main page, then select the Practice Box you want to join. Once the instructor starts the timer, you'll automatically join the lobby.
Can I join a Practice Box that already started ?
No, once a Practice Box starts, you can no longer join it. You'll have to wait for the next one.
What happens if I close the tab or get disconnected during a Practice Box ?
If you get disconnected or close the tab during an ongoing Practice Box, you'll get 0 points for any question you missed. You won't be able to rejoin that Practice Box.
Do I get points if I don't answer a question ?
No, if you don't provide an answer to a question before the time ends, you get 0 points for that question.
What types of questions are there in a Practice Box ?
There are 3 types of questions in a Practice Box:
- Multiple choice questions (select one or multiple correct options)
- True/False questions
- Drag and drop (put options in the correct order)
Can I leave a Practice Box before it ends ?
No, once you join a Practice Box lobby, you are committed to completing the full Practice Box. You cannot leave until the instructor ends the Practice Box.
How are the points calculated ?
You get points for each correct answer based on the difficulty of the question. More difficult questions are worth more points. At the end of the Practice Box, the points are tallied to determine your rank. The student with the highest score is ranked first.
Will my rank and points be visible to other students ?
Yes, after each question and at the end of the Practice Box, all students can see the points and ranks of all participants. Your performance in each Practice Box is visible to all students and instructors.
Can I review the questions and answers after the Practice Box ends ?
No, once a Practice Box ends, you will not have access to the questions or answers again. Practice Boxes are designed to provide a collaborative learning experience in real-time.
