FAQ

What is the deadline for submitting my checkpoint link ?

The deadline for submitting the checkpoint link is mentioned on the checkpoint page. It is important to submit the link before the deadline to get the full score for 'Deadline Respecting' criterion.

What happens if I miss the deadline ?

Missing the checkpoint submission deadline will negatively impact your score. The 'Deadline Respecting' criterion carries 10% of the total score. So, missing the deadline will reduce 10% from your final checkpoint score. It is advised to plan and submit the checkpoint link well before the deadline.

What are the criteria based on which my checkpoint will be evaluated ?

Your checkpoint will be evaluated based on:

  1. Checkpoint specific criteria: These criteria are specific to the particular checkpoint topic and carry 50% of the total score.
  2. General criteria: These criteria are common for all checkpoints and carry 50% of the total score. It includes:
  • Deadline Respecting: 10%
  • Project Quality: 20%
  • Knowledge Application: 20%

Can I re-submit the checkpoint ?

Yes, you can re-submit the checkpoint link multiple times before the final deadline and the instructor did not close your checkpoint yet. It is advised to review the feedback and make improvements in your re-submission to get a higher score.

How my checkpoint scores calculated ?

your checkpoint scores are calculated as follows:

  • 50% of the score comes from the average of the general assessment criteria (deadline, instructions, etc.).
  • 50% of the score comes from the checkpoint-specific criteria. If there are no checkpoint-specific criteria, the entire score comes from the general assessment criteria.
  • Not meeting the deadline will result in a score of 0 for that criterion.
  • The final checkpoint score is the weighted average of the individual criteria scores.

Can I see my checkpoint history ?

Yes, you can access your checkpoint history from your dashboard or profile page. The checkpoint history page displays the following information for each checkpoint:

  • Checkpoint name
  • Submission date
  • Score obtained
  • Status (validated, needs improvement, rejected)
  • Deadline
  • Track and level This allows students to monitor their progress and review their performance on previous checkpoints. It is a useful resource for students to understand their strengths and weaknesses and work to improve.

Can I see the correction of other students ?

No, checkpoint corrections are private between instructors and students. You will only see your own feedback and scores.

What happens if I fail a checkpoint ?

Don't worry if you fail a checkpoint! Use your instructor's feedback to improve your work and understanding of the topic. Failing a checkpoint will not block your progress in the program.
